I noticed on MSN Now an article  bashing a particular  DGN Custom Guitar  design. The 8 neck guitar being sported by the metal band Bio hazard  has  taken a lot of heat on the comments posted for the article. This is not the first extreme make of a guitar. Check out Harp guitar

The Multi-neck guitar  is  recreated over and over again by many guitar players and company’s alike.

Guitar Muse is an excellent example of such a company. Karl Sanders, Jimmy Page, Rick Nielsen, Steve Via, Slash and many other  legends  have chosen to strut a Multi-Neck.

I found most the comments  humorous in that they complained it being too difficult and flamboyant to perform with; yet they all had to look. The instrument has done it’s job. Eye catching  image that created a small commotion worthy of being discussed  whether ridiculed or praised.  I tell you who I think is taking gimmicks to the limits:  Lady Gaga          www.ladygaga.com

Wonder how fast it will get flagged THIS time.WOW, Guess the truth bothers these crooks WAY TO MUCH, LOL.
Kinda makes you wonder WHY, huh ?? Well the post tells the truth and those out there that are charging $45 – $60 an hour and paying the help $10 – $15 an hour DON’T LIKE THE TRUTH. I KNOW what it costs to run a business, I HAD one but the economy hit ME TOO BUT I REFUSED TO LOWBALL MY EMPLOYEES so the business went under and I now work for someone that is willing to pay what I am worth. Of course I don’t work every day BUT I work pretty steady. I can actually ALMOST pay my bills LOL.

I am SURE it won’t take long at all LOL !!! But I have an agenda, and that is to make sure EVERYONE that comes to craigslist seeking employment KNOWS THE TRUTH !!!
Gentleman and Ladies……. Ladies and Gentlemen…… IT IS TIME TO PUT OUR FOOT DOWN AND DEMAND WHAT WE ARE DUE !!!!!!

What do these guys looking for carpenters and trades workers think we are ?? We go out and buy the best equipment available in order to do QUALITY work and they think we are worthless. We have reliable transportation (which they want US to use to haul THEIR materials), we have to use OUR equipment (thousands of dollars worth) with no compensation for wear and tear AND travel all over on our dime !! Not to mention alot of them want to do 1099′s and we have to have our OWN liability Ins. Well I don’t know about you but I for one CAN’T do it, even if I was willing to I CAN’T, I would have to declare bankruptcy in about one month being paid the pittence they call fair pay. Come on, really ?? $10-$15 an hour ?? AND we have to have our OWN COMP insurance AND truck to haul THEIR materials AND use our OWN expensive tools ?? GET REAL !!!!!! I would need $20 an hour and THEY pay for workers comp AND give a truck allowance AND tool allowance (truck abot $200 a week and tools about $100 a week). I know my compressor cost me $400 and will probably last about a year at full use every day, my DeWalt miter saw cost $500 and will need new brushes and an armature in about 6 months at full usage (about $175), Pasload airless trim and brad nailers ($900) and gas cylinders (about $60 every month) not to mention the cost of maintenance and nails on ALL the equipment AND TRUCK !! How about I come work for one of you for the $10-$15 an hour and YOU supply EVERYTHING ELSE ????? JUST ME !! A BODY that has over 25 years of experience and has a huge amount of pride in my work giving nothing more than TOP QUALITY WORK !!

He knew he needed help to continue this feat, but he needed more work for the help wont come cheap; so he put in an ad in on  Craigslist for a glamor. One night early ’round the witching hour he got a phone call from a man named Hammer. Gave an address , an emergency cleaning needed done fast. dwiG did explain,”I usually don’t work without a contract for pay, but tonight I’ll help you for  possible future  work days.”

When he arrived, seamed like a flash, Hammer exclaimed ” do it all I pay you in cash, but this room here you save it for last!”

So jumping right in dwiG dusted and swept and continued to clean next hr was spent then he heard some voices, a discussion grow loud from down the hall in the room, noise of scowl. When he peaked around he saw Mr. Hammer yelling to a man about loosing  some battle and then  dwiG noticed something peculiar he had not seen just hrs earlier; the carpet was covered in plastic  this room, from wall to wall thick as tarp and maroon.   Suddenly “POP!” more like a “BOOM!”

and down to the floor the man went”Spa-yew”.

The two other gentlemen began wrapping dude up and Hammer told dwiG,”Best just finish up. Here take this I’ll call you when ever I need a clean fix.”

At first dwiG thought “Oh shit that happened!” looked down at the cash, had to be $50 thousand.  So he wrapped up his vac cum and went on home, forgot about dude and wrote a song. He continues to jam all he can with his band with his day job as a night time cleaner and once and a while he still get a call for a special cleaning for Hammer.

or most commonly known as Marijuana is  leading in popularity as a cure to our devastated economy.  Our “leaders” have begun to realize the potential of this “cure all” from medical Dr.’s to political members. You can expect an overwhelming response at first to  Legalizing for recreational purpose giving the same laws that accompany alcohol and will create millions of jobs from farming to distribution as well as put a huge dent in the underground drug market.

So lots of music across the web. More genre to chose from and more artists to produce the sounds we so need to have. More and more every day. From the veterans like Fog Hat to the newbies like Bieber. Mainstream air waves hypnotising us with our own desires. Unsigned aren’t desperate but more willing to give out more than a couple singles on the radio and maybe a video. A music network  like OurStage  has so much to share you may feel overwhelmed at first. More genres to chose from than I care to list here but if you sign in you can judge for your self.

Jamming bar to bar pimping a t-shirt or a $1 demo just don’t pay the bills, or the bar tab. When an opertunity comes up to play a battle of the bands we usually take it; don’t like the hole “battleing concept” but when money’s involved it’s always worth a shot. I mention this because a battle hosted by ourStage in Y-bor at The Ritz. Even if we don’t land one of the places we are going and you should still go watch the show one way or the other I’ll be there.

    A local band at your local bar may be your solution. Most local artist are very down to earth  communing on the same level as the fans because they, as artists are also fans; Fans of Fans that is. We want your input. We need you to be there to show your respect for the love of socializing and come party with the band.  Most of the people in a club where there are a few bands set up to play a gig are members of other bands themselves just looking to see a show and drink some beer.

    Look for open mic night and you may find a bar full of musicians just hanging out talking jams and shots and beer… just might be the party your looking for. My band Solitary Colony will go hang at the Brass Mug on 15th and Fletcher ave.  They rearanged some and, well you should just go by and check for yourself. Cold Brews, Loud Music and a welcomeing environment for both Fan and Musician.

I’m sure you can figure out why.

He too became aggravated with his friends who would call out to him across the church parking lot. Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson said once the band would have a difficult time on occasions trying to live up to the Legendary status; a name isn’t always  just something someone calls you, it can represent a pop-culture trend.

I myself go by the name dwiG. When I was in the 7′th grade in most every class I had to sit behind this un-jolly black giant beanstalk of a girl who was constantly torchering me; turn around and just nock me in the head. I couldn’t fight back she was a monster and I was short and chunky like an umpa lupa.  She began calling me by silly screws of my name; Depain, PoopWayne, Dewoopiethen one day just like she had some preminishion she turned to me and  I quickly raised my arms in defense; she laughed and said “Dwigy! I calling you Dwigy from now on”. Soon everyone seamed to be calling me that. I started to tell the boys it sounded queer they should just say dwiG. Now 27 years later I like it. HA ha Ha! Michelle jokes on you now; I feel it sounds sexy to hear a woman call me dwiGy, still sound gay when a guy says it though.

With that concept in mind my band is working on a multi-genre album revolving around rock and roll. Still working out the blending of ideas without ultamate comprimise how ever I belive it to be comeing along quite well. Having been to a profesional recoring studio a few times I’ve come to understand a mutl-track music  concept is not in your best intrest. No mater the length of the track there is still a lot of work involved in mixing and oganizing and labeling even the quality of the recording itself may become overlooked or comprimized durring the process.
